CFDA and German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture signs Joint Declaration of Intent on Technical Cooperation

On the morning of November 1, 2016, Guo Wenqi, Assistant Minister of China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), and Peter Bleser, Parliamentary Secretary of German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, signed the “Joint Declaration of Intent between the China Food and Drug Administration of the People's Republic of China and the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of the Federal Republic of Germany on Technical Cooperation” in Beijing. According to the Declaration, both sides will further enhancing technical exchange and cooperation in the fields of Internet food sales, personnel exchanges, and risk assessment, warning and communication.
Before signing the Declaration, Guo Wenqi had a talk with Peter Bleser. Both sides reviewed the cooperation in the field of food safety in recent years, and exchanged opinions on the implementation of China’s newly revised Food Safety Law and the follow-up cooperation. Relevant directors of CFDA's Department of International Cooperation, Department of Legal Affairs, Departments of Food Safety Supervision I, Departments of Food Safety Supervision II, and Departments of Food Safety Supervision III attended the meeting.
