"Belt and Road Initiative" State Drug Regulatory and Development Cooperation Forum held in Beijing

On July 27, 2016, the "Belt and Road Initiative" State Drug Regulatory and Development Cooperation Forum & Drug Regulatory Ministerial Workshop of Developing Nations, cosponsored by China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) and the Ministry of Commerce of China, was held in Beijing. Minister-level officials and relevant directors from drug regulatory authorities of Ghana, Jamaica, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria, Palestine, Panama, Sri Lanka and other countries attended the forum. Sun Xianze, Vice Minister of China Food and Drug Administration, attended the forum and delivered a speech.
Based on the 2015 Minister-level Seminar on Pharmaceutical Supervision and Management for Developing Countries successfully held last year, keynote discussions are made at the forum on the drug regulatory experience of countries along the Belt and Road to further strengthen international drug supervision and development cooperation, and build a more balanced and efficient international drug regulatory cooperation framework.
