CFDA issues Priority Review and Approval Procedure for Medical Devices

In order to further implement the Opinions of the State Council on the Reform of the Review and Approval System for Drugs and Medical Devices, and to meet the clinical demands of medical devices, China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) recently issued the Priority Review and Approval Procedure for Medical Devices, after in-depth study and extensive solicitation of opinions. The Priority Review and Approval Procedure for Medical Devices will come into force as of January 1, 2017.
